Apparently, Crime, and Lawyer: Black Man Attacked at White Supremacist Rally Facing Same Felony Charges As His Attackers @balleralert Black Man Attacked at White Supremacist Rally Facing Same Felony Charges As His Attackers – blogged by @MsJennyb ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ On Monday, a warrant was issued for the arrest of a black man who was viciously beaten in a parking garage in Charlottesville. The incident occurred during the fatal white supremacist rally in August, just two months before the hate group returned to the scene of the crime with no consequence. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Photo and video evidence of the incident was captured during the melee. In the photo, DeAndreHarris is pictured on the ground of the garage as white supremacist stomp him out, wielding wooden logs toward his body. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ According to reports, an unidentified white supremacist reported the incident to the police, which was later confirmed by a detective. Apparently, another white supremacist tried to pierce a counter-protester with a flagpole, prompting Harris to intervene, swinging a flashlight in the man’s direction. In turn, several white supremacists then attacked him in retaliation, knocking him unconscious repeatedly. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Although two of the men involved with Harris’ beating have been arrested and charged, a magistrate issued a warrant for Harris’ arrest for the same felony crime as his attackers. The alleged victim maintains that Harris initiated the altercation, however, Harris’ lawyer claims the charge is “clearly retaliatory.”

Beautiful, Crime, and England: WE WENT FROM RUNNING KINGDOMS TO NOT RUNNING NOTHING IN OUR OWN COMMUNITIES Schools will teach them slavery. African history did not start with slavery. Slavery interrupted African history. When I was in school I got told my ancestors were enslaved and before that they were swinging from trees. Then I learned that my African ancestors created the first civilisations, while in Europe they were still living in caves. Now I teach in schools and I tell young black men about Kush, Timbuktu, Sudan and the Congo. I tell them about the Moors and there integral involvement in the renaissance, how they brought hygiene to Europe. If it wasn't for their ancestors fighting themselves free, slavery would have continued. I teach them about Mansa Musa I of Mali – the 14th century African king who was named the richest person in all history.(With an inflation adjusted fortune of $400 billion, Mansa Musa I would have been considerably richer than the world’s current richest man) I tell them that there are more pyramids in Sudan than there are in Egypt. I teach them that the enslavement of their ancestors was the worlds greatest crime, that without it there would have been no industrial revolution in England. That their ancestors built that White House, because the head Architect and construction Team were African. That the American civil war and how it would have never been won if it wasn't for the African regiments. I show them they're beautiful. Not that they are superior because supremacy is the reason why the world is in Chaos. Also to love their skin because it's full of melanin. I teach them that the Europeans at the time were stupid for having to steal people and resources, they should have just asked and traded, then there would be no imminent revolution, just peace and fair trade. I teach them that Christopher Columbus had an African Navigator called Pedro Alonso Niño, At the time of Columbus, African navigators were in advance of their white European counterparts. They had (already) established documented trade with China, Mediterranean Europe, India and Atlantic islands. I teach because in school I was told lies and mistruths. I taught myself and my friends-Fam taught me, not the schools. I teach them because I love them. chakabars

Being Alone, Baseball, and Beautiful: 17-year old Nabra was kidnapped and murdered outside a mosque in Virginia, USA muslim d Allah grant her Jannah, Ameen. May I ic, "I was given permission to release her name, photo and details from a close family friend- Beautiful Nabra Allah yr7amha. Just heard of the tragedy that happened last night near ADAMS Center. She said that a group of girls were walking back from grabbing food during Qiyam time. A car pulled up, an altercation took place (the nature of which is still unknown) and then the man came out with a baseball bat swinging at the girls. Nabra fell before she was struck and assaulted, and was left behind. She then went missing (presumably kidnapped-moved by the suspect) and was found dead this afternoon. This is what the world has come to. In these blessed nights of this month, we are being tested beyond imagine. May Allah grant her jannah and make this unbelievable tragedy easier on her family. No words. إنَّا لله وإنا اليه راجعون 💔 " - Isra Chaker (Facebook) . Islamophobic attacks like this are becoming more and more common. Just in the past day or two you've had this incident in Virginia USA, you've had the attacks on Muslims in London last night with the van, and you had acid thrown on 2 brothers after Tarawih last night in London too. There has been wuite a few acid attacks on muslims recently that I've hesrd about. Be vigilant and stay safe. . I would advise sisters especially to not be out late and alone, even if it's for tarawih. It's better for you to pray at home and especially in these circumstances. These people are cowards and most of the time only attack women. But if you really have to go then go with a male guardian whether it's husband, brother, father or someone, especially not at night during Tarawih time. . May Allah grant Jannatul firdaws to all those who've lost their lives in these recent incidents, Ameen.

TRAINING IN SEASON VS OFF SEASON I spent most of my day today writing all about stress management in prehab so this awesome post by @simone_baseball_performance seemed appropriate to share tonight. . The chart above was put together by the late 🍁Canadian Sprint Coach Charlie Francis. It shows different movements and their varying degree of CNS (Central Nervous System) demand. . ❓What does this chart mean for YOU❓ . 💥You only have so much energy you can expend. When you’re in-season you want most of that energy used on the field playing your sport. This chart is a great self check for you guys to see the varying demand each movement places on your CNS. . ⚾️For example, if you’re playing three to four games per week, it’s safe to say you’re sprinting at maximal intensity, throwing a baseball as hard as possible, and swinging a bat near maximal intensity in each game. You NEED to account for this CNS stress especially due to the fact that all of those movements are highly taxing on your nervous system. . 💪To account for this CNS stress and to maximize on-field outputs I believe your in-season training should refrain from any sprinting or explosive power movements. Looking back on my early playing career, I can’t believe all the sprinting, jumping, and heavy squats I was doing in-season. If only I knew then, what I know now regarding CNS demand of various movements, my on-field play would have been much better. - 🏋🏻Exercises that you should reduce in-season due to high CNS stress . ❌Sprinting (Outside of playing in games) ❌Vertical and Horizontal Jumping ❌High Volume Medicine Ball Throws ❌Heavy Squats ❌Heavy Deadlifts ❌High Volume-Intensive Plyos ❌Cleans, Snatches, Clean and Jerk . 🏋🏻Exercises that you should include in your in-season training due to their low demand on the CNS . ✅Supplementary Pull (Chest Supported Rows, 1-Arm DB Row etc.) ✅Supplementary Push (Push-Up Variations, Landmine Press Variations) ✅Sled Drags-Sled Pushes ✅Step Up Variations ✅Upper Back Work (BPA’S, Banded Face Pulls, Y,T,W etc.) ✅Low Intensity Core Stability Variations (Pallof Variations etc.) .
