Police, Run, and Target: CITY OF ATLANTA PUBLIC NOTICE URG ATLAY LANTA Please Do Not Dump Trash on White Supremacist Leaders' Properties People have been dumping trash on the properties of well-known white nationalists Sam Dickson and Evan Anderson. Dickson has said that this dumping is a financial hardship, and it interferes with his plans of gentrifying the Lakewood area and forcing out people of color. He and Anderson are very busy organizing with other white supremacists, including attending white pride rallies and providing violent white supremacists with material support. One of the first things i learned that fueled my interest was the origin of the word ‘redneck.’ Coal mining was HUGE from the mid 1700s to the early 1900s in states like Virginia and Pennsylvania as coal was a primary source of fuel for a lotta shit. Unsurprisingly, mine owners were capitalist pigs and exploited the hell outta coal miners. Like, paying them by the pound of coal they brought in rather than by hours worked, paying them in vouchers that could only be used at the store owned by the mining company, and offering no kind of health assistance when workers would inevitably succumb to illness and injury caused by the work they did. So miners began to unionize in the mid 1840s. To show solidarity and to make their employers take notice, unionists would wear red bandanas around their necks. And thus, the term ‘redneck’ was coined to describe the union supporters who eventually dismantled a lot of the exploitive practices used by the coal industry. Love these! Just discovered the hillbilly leftie podcast the Trillbilly Worker’s Party, and I am so excited to see more leftist organizing in these parts. We have an amazing history of labor struggle, and a fair amount of labor wins, in this region.

Fyre Festival founder and CEO, Billy McFarland, pleaded guilty to two counts of wire fraud yesterday, and will face up to a decade in prison. McFarland admitted in a Manhattan federal court that he had defrauded investors and falsified documents as a way to provide funding for his promised luxury Fyre Festival experience. The two wire fraud charges each carry a maximum of 20 years in prison, but McFarland made a plea agreement which may allow him to face only eight to ten years, with a fine of up to $300,000. McFarland’s sentence is scheduled for June 21st. ___ McFarland and fellow festival-promoter rapper Ja Rule made Fyre Festival out to be a “luxury concert” to take place on a small island in the Bahamas. The festival was to include performances from Blink-182, Migos, and Disclosure with extravagant housing accommodations and celebrity-chef-cooked meals. However, when concertgoers started to arrive to the festival, they were met with flimsy tents and boxed lunches and told that the musical acts had been canceled. We never have and never will sell bump stocks that allow semi-automatic weapons to fire more rapidly. At the same time, we implore our elected officials to enact common sense gun reform and pass the following regulations: Ban assault-style firearms Raise the minimum age to purchase firearms to 21 Ban high capacity magazines and bump stocks Require universal background checks that include relevant mental health information and previous interactions with the law Ensure a complete universal database of those banned from buying firearms   Close the private sale and gun show loophole that waives the necessity of background checks We hope others join us in this effort to let our kids know that their pleas are being taken seriously.Some will say these steps can’t guarantee tragedies like Parkland will never happen again.
