Andrew Bogut, Community, and McDonalds: McDonald's Manager Who Assisted In the Arrest Of The Tampa Serial Killer Will Receive $110,000 Reward @balleralert RONALD FELTON ANTHONY NAIBOA MONCA HOFFA BENJAMIN MITCHELL McDonald’s Manager Who Assisted In the Arrest Of The Tampa Serial Killer Will Receive $110,000 Reward – blogged by @MsJennyb ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Earlier this week, the man responsible for the Tampa murders was caught thanks to a McDonald’s manager, who handed over a key piece of evidence that connected 24-year-old Howell Donaldson III to the series of murders. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ As a result, Donalda Walker will receive a $110,000 reward for her tip that led to the arrest of the Tampa serial killer. Several organizations have offered rewards, which vary in amounts and Walker will receive “every penny.” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ “Looking back, I am grateful to know I was helpful in assisting law enforcement,” Walker said of her good deed. “I hope you can understand that out of respect for the continuing investigations as well as the victims and their families, I will not be answering questions. But please know I appreciate all the well wishes and the kind words of our community.” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ According to reports, the murders took place between October and November in the city’s Seminole Heights neighborhood. Three of the four murders were committed within 11 days, while the fourth occurred more than a month after the first. After a two-month search, Donaldson, who was an employee at the same McDonald's that Walker managed, arrived at the establishment and gave Walker a McDonald’s bag to hold for safe keeping. Shortly after, Walker turned over the bag, which contained the gun used in the four murders, to the police. She also told officials of Donaldson's plan to leave the state, reports state. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Although Donaldson admitted to owning the gun, he did not confess to the four murders. However, he faces four counts of first-degree murder.

Billboard, Memes, and New York: Cardi B Says She ls Taking Her Time With Her Debut Album Until "It's Right" 03 @balleralert Cardi B Says She Is Taking Her Time With Her Debut Album Until “It’s Right” _ blogged by @MsJennyb ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Months ago, reports surfaced that New York superstar CardiB was nervous about the release of her debut album. Initially, the Bronx rapper had been eyeing an October release date, but as her smash hit, “Bodak Yellow,” continued to climb the charts, it became hard for her to select the songs that could top it. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ “I wanted to drop next month,” she said at the time. “Every single time I think I got all the 10 songs I’m like, I’m buggin. These ain’t it. It’s just like, damn I’m competing with myself. I’m competing with the goddamn No. 2 record,” she said of the record that has since peaked at No. 1. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Now though, after October came and went, Cardi B says she is in no rush to release her debut project. As she continues to ride the wave of the massive success of her singles and features, which have all topped Billboard’s Hot R&B-Hip-Hop Songs chart, she revealed that there is a lot of pressure on her forthcoming project, so she wants to make sure “it’s right.” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ “I have a lot of pressure on me,” the rapper tweeted. “I have songs stashed up. I just don’t think they qualified for my album. Sometimes I think is ready sometimes I think it’s not so I’m going to take my time till it’s right.” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Until then though, fans can vibe out to any of the Bronx rapper’s many hits, from “Bodak Yellow” to “Motorsport” to “No Limit.”

Memes, New York, and Taken: Hundreds of immigrants will get to resubmit DACA renewals originally rejected as "late" It's the Trump administration's biggest reversal on immigration policy to date. Updated by Dara Lind | dara@vox.com | Nov 16, 2017, 11:43am EST Y TWEET SHARE 🚨 IMPORTANT DACA SHARE Many immigrants who did everything right to reapply for one last round of protection under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program — but missed the deadline due to circumstances beyond their control — are going to get another chance after reporting by Vox and others about how unfairly the administration enforced the deadline. The Trump administration initially claimed that 4,000 immigrants missed the October 5 deadline to apply for one last two-year extension of protections under the DACA program, which the administration announced in September would be shut down over the next six months (with an official end date of March 5, 2018). But reporting in recent days by Vox and the New York Times showed that an untold number of those applications had been mailed well in advance of the deadline — and had been delayed due to a mysterious weeks-long Postal Service slowdown, or had been dropped in a US Citizenship and Immigration Services mailbox on October 5 but not picked up by a courier service until the next day. On Wednesday night, the Department of Homeland Security announced that those DACA recipients will be allowed to reapply for renewal. The Trump administration isn’t guaranteeing that these applications will be approved. But it’s at least agreeing to consider applications it had previously rejected out of hand. That could mean another two years of protection from deportation for hundreds, maybe even thousands, of immigrants. And it marks the first major reversal on immigration policy from an administration that has generally taken pride in its hardline stance. USCIS will contact some immigrants who were affected — but others will have to contact the government themselves

College, Joe Biden, and Lady Gaga: Lady Gaga and Joe Biden Are Teaming Up to Develop Trauma Centers for Emotional and Physical Abuse Victims @balleralert Lady Gaga and Joe Biden Are Teaming Up to Develop Trauma Centers for Emotional and Physical Abuse Victims - Blogged by: @RaquelHarrisTV ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Former vice president Joe Biden and Grammy-winning artist LadyGaga are coming together to create trauma centers for victims of physical and emotional abuse. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Biden discussed him and Gaga’s plans on Monday at Glamour’s Women of the Year Summit in New York City. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ "Women who are abused end up having long-term physical and physiological problems ... We finally are recognizing the long-term impacts," Biden said, specifying that women should be able to receive long-term help at such centers. "It's the next great frontier I want to be part of." ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ During his speech, he also highlighted the bravery of those who have been subjected to sexual assault and have shared their stories in recent media. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ "It's hard to come forward … don't let this slow up," Biden said. "This is time to fundamentally change the culture of how women are treated in American society ... The culture is changing because so many brave women — knowing they were going to be vilified — are coming forward. Look at all these men have rightfully lost, now. Million dollar contracts! That wouldn't have happened a year ago, five years ago, 10 years ago, so keep pushing,” said Biden. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Entertainment Weekly reports the centers are still in its early stages of preparation. This isn’t the first time the two have made efforts to diminish sexual harassment and assault. Back in October, Gaga and Biden teamed up to promote ItsOnUs, a non-profit that educates people on how to target and prevent sexual assault on college campuses.
