healthy food: why l support body positivity (featuring Purple Bikini Girl fro my Bikini Body lustration) Wonderful series by @asurelle · There's a lot of confusion around what "body positivity" or "fat positivity" means and represents. It doesn't mean "everyone should eat unhealthy food and never exercise." It means "hey, you should love yourself and your body, and if you want to alter your lifestyle to change how you look, that's cool (and if not that's also cool!) but you shouldn't hate yourself in the meantime." This is not a complex concept, but the idea of a person not hating themselves when they have fat (gasp!!) is apparently a very horrifying concept for some people. Body positivity is all about loving yourself and taking care of your body. It's not your place to judge other people's lifestyles or assume that the amount of fat they have means they're lazy - unhealthy - etc. You can be skinny and have an eating disorder, you can be skinny and just have a great metabolism but be eating fast food every meal. You cannot make assumptions about a person's health from their weight. And even if you could, unless you're their doctor, then it's none of your business. When a person is saying they love their body and you think they're overweight, you're saying that they need to HATE their body until they lose 20 pounds. That is the kind of thinking ("I hate myself") that leads to eating disorders, overexercising, obsession with appearance, mental health problems, and more. It's so unsolicited and inappropriate to look at someone's weight and make all these assumptions about their lifestyle and tell them they should hate themselves. It is possible to love your body but also want to eat healthier! Or love your body but want to lose weight - bulk up - etc. Fat people are shamed so much for just living their lives, when really everyone just needs to focus on themselves and move on. Don't pretend you're concerned about healthy food when you judge fat people who eat at McDonald's but not skinny people. Don't act like you care about fitness when youre only demanding that *some* people must exercise and work out.

healthy food: THE 'GANGSTA GARDENER WHO BELIEVES MASCULINITY IS ABOUT BEING A CONSCIOUS CITIZEN OF THE PLANET 17thsoulia5 “Gardening is gangsta: Mother Nature is gangsta. Being educated, creative and self-sustaining is gangsta. That whole concept was about turning a negative into a positive. If you want to be gangsta about anything, make it about building your community, sharing knowledge. Men are brought up being told that we’re supposed to be provider and protector. But, as far as I can see, a lot of our communities are basically designed to kill people, because you can’t find healthy or nutritious food in them. Why is it easier to get alcohol than an organic apple? Why, in certain communities here, is it easier to get a gun than it is to get an organic carrot? Cities are designed for commerce, not for people. A lot of guys spend time in prison because of trying to get that whole American dream. ‘I want my wife, my girlfriend, to have this or that that I saw on TV: diamonds and fancy cars.’ Gardening changes people’s lives – it shows the alchemy and the art of Mother Nature. It gives you a reverence and respect for soil, tiny seeds, water. As boys, we were all told ‘money don’t grow on trees – go get a job’. But somebody should have told us: ‘if you want some money – plant some trees’. If we want to change this, all over the world, we have to make growing and producing food sexy. It’s where I find my solace, my joy. The soil seduces you. You do the soil’s bidding.Male role models are so important. There wasn’t really a man in my life that I could sit down with and really get some knowledge. I’ve never been drunk, never been high, smoked cigarettes, none of that. I’ve never had a cup of coffee in my life. I don’t know what to attribute that to, but I know at times I wished I did have somebody to say ‘go this way, take that route’. I have three sons, and I was determined to be that for them. I don’t really separate being a man and being a human being – being a conscious citizen of this planet. We all want healthy food, clean water, and to be loved. I don’t see holding back emotion or affection as being a man. I’ve cried on stage. All that ‘real men don’t cry’ bullshit? Yeah we do. Real people cry. 17thsoulja 🔽🔽🔽

healthy food: 2015 Sept 235lbs @halfmybody 157lbs 2015 to 2017 Life update: So it looks like I have lost all my before pictures and actually all personal pictures I ever had. So, sorry I have been quiet for a few weeks. I'm obviously more upset about all my personal pictures, but it means that with this 'weight loss' account, I really just have the pictures I've already used as my 'befores' (I have some extra on a Dropbox but I had so many videos😞). I feel it sucks as, when times get hard, I found that my before pictures really help me with my own motivation and it reminds me how far I have come. But anyway, I don't want to harp on 😅 I was thinking maybe though it's a sign (trying to be positive here!) it could be a sign as to what I've been thinking for a while as to move this page towards more lifestyle and maybe even show my face at some point😀 I've been kinda anonymous for 18 months, I have never posted a selfie, or 'outfits of the day' or shown you if I have a pretty nail colour! I think those things are fun though?!! I used to feel conscious taking a picture of my outfit or something like that or sharing more personal stuff going on in my life. I would love to start though! I'm really feeling more confident lately and feel I have come so far with this (weight loss) journey maybe this is a new chapter! I will see how it goes! I will still be mostly posting lots of healthy food though and weight loss updates! I'm rambling. Anyway, I hope you know what I mean and I'm just trying to be positive about this picture thing 😭😂 Thanks for listening.
