Donald Trump, Drugs, and Friday: Jay Z Says Trump is a Joke "With All Disrespect" @balleralert Jay Z Says Trump is a Joke “With All Disrespect” – blogged by @MsJennyb (video @bbcradio1) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ On the heels of the release of his most personal album to date, Jay-Z has been sitting down for interviews to divulge his thought process throughout the making of the highly anticipated album, “4:44.” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ In his most recent interview with BBC Radio 1 on Friday, JayZ discussed his views on Donald Trump after having campaigned for both BarackObama and HillaryClinton in past elections. As Trump continues to reverse Obama-era legislations, alongside Jeff Sessions, who is eager to reignite the war on drugs, Jay Z shared his thoughts on Trump and the current state of politics. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ “I believe that we are resilient, especially us as black people and especially the culture. We’ve been through so much more than this guy,” he said. “This guy, I’m looking at him like, man, this is a joke, with all – I can’t even say with all due respect – with all disrespect.” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ “Until everyone is free, no one is free,” Jay added. “Period. That’s just a fact. We are all linked some kind of way. So if you oppress a certain people, everyone is in danger, karmically and in real life. If I’m being oppressed and you have this big, nice mansion, I’m coming inside there. That’s going to happen, that’s just how life is.” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Although the country is struggling with racial injustices and increased hate crimes in the wake of the Donald Trump era, Hov believes it is something that we, as a nation and culture, can overcome. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ “I don’t think that this is happening if we weren’t prepared to handle it,” he said. “I’m just looking forward to what’s next after that, because usually when things are darkest, then light is on its way. I’m not fearful.”

Memes, Obama, and Barack Obama: Barack Obama Calls Republicans' Attempt to Repeal Affordable Care Act, "Aggravating @balleralert Barack Obama Calls Republicans' Attempt to Repeal Affordable Care Act, "Aggravating"-blogged by @thereal__bee ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ When it comes to the current state of the country, many of us try to remain optimistic. But recently, even former president BarackObama had to admit how fed up he is with some of these issues. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ On Wednesday, Obama spoke during a ceremony held by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation about the Republicans’ recent attempts to repeal the Affordable Care Act. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ “When I see people trying to undo that hard-earned progress for the 50th or 60th time, with bills that would raise costs or reduce coverage, or roll back protections for older Americans or people with pre-existing conditions … for whom coverage would, once again, be almost unobtainable, it is aggravating,” Obama said. “And all of this being done without any demonstrable economic or actuarial or plain common-sense rationale, it frustrates me.” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ “And it’s certainly frustrating to have to mobilize every couple of months to keep our leaders from inflicting real human suffering on our constituents, but typically that’s how progress is won and how progress is maintained,” he continued. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ The GOP Congress is not backing down when it comes to this issue though. They are currently trying to pass a bill proposed by Sens. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and Bill Cassidy (R-La.). The proposal is intended to repeal and replace the ACA with a new health care system that would be detrimental to millions, especially those with serious medical illnesses. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ What do you think about Obama's statement?

Leonardo DiCaprio Calls Out Trump For Refusing to Acknowledge Climate Crisis; Says Hurricanes Should Be a Wake-Up Call – blogged by @MsJennyb ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ On Tuesday, LeonardoDiCaprio called out the Trump administration for their neglect to recognize the seriousness that is climate change. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ DiCaprio discussed the warnings about the realities of the climate crisis during a speech at the Yale Climate Conference, saying: “Quite simply, we are knowingly doing this to ourselves, to our entire planet, and we’re risking our very future. And the cost of our inaction these past couple weeks has become even clearer.” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The actor and activist highlighted the recent natural disasters that have plagued the country, the Caribbean and Mexico, and used his platform to address the administration’s refusal to act on these important issues. DiCaprio also mentioned that he met with Trump late last year to discuss a plan to combat the climate issue, however, since then “the world has watched” Trump deny the important issue. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ “We listened as they said that these powerful hurricanes that we’re seeing with Harvey and Irma did not change the president’s mind about climate change,” he said. “I still believe that the United States has the potential to lead the world on this issue. We can only hope that the president begins to see it to, before it is too late for all of us.” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ While, Trump is to blame for turning a blind eye to climate change, he is not the only one at fault. DiCaprio also called out Florida Gov. Rick Scott and Energy Secretary Rick Perry for their role in “perpetuating the lie.” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ “Time is up. The current events have become a global wake-up call that must be heard all the way from you to the private sector, all the way to Washington, D.C. It is too late for any of us to be timid, or too ignorant or too silent. We all have to take action together, now.”

Anaconda, Boxing, and Friends: I am going to say it, because I love destroying fairy tales. As some of you know, I grew up in poverty in Cuba, once the mecca for boxing. We boxed for the fun of it in the streets, watch top boxers fight and most hope to be good enough for the olympics. What we saw last night is just a mockery of the sport. A great fixed fight. Both boxers knew the outcome. McGreggor was paid more than a $100 for following the lead when they will call the fight. Each round he lasted after the 3rd, he earned more. Both players vetted for a sure win, each have walked off with five times what the fight was worth. This is the current future of boxing. Now go ahead and get triggered, IlI go and get the popcorn. What's up doc 🥕 WWE Is far more entertaining. It was a hype fight from the very beginning. Mayweather would have never signed to fight some nobody in the boxing world with a chance to lose his title if it wasn't a fixed fight from the very beginning. Specially at the end of his career. They all did it for the money 💰 and who can blame them when folks still believe in fairy tales. Pure classic entertainment!! It was a great show! I love the happy ending in the end. They were so happy hugging each other. These guys made probably a half of billion each of more.
