Changing Tatum said his Magic Mike body doesn’t last for more than five days. He starved down and dehydrated his already fit physique for a “look”.
The male soldiers on Spartacus: Blood and Sand were eating pretty much chicken and veggies for every meal to maintain a “look”. 
Why is this such a big deal? Because all these characters are considered physical goals for men. These are actual unobtainable physical standards for men. Male body image issues get swept under the rug so often that some people don’t even think they exist.

critical: Trevor 12 hrs I have to admit, when Greta Thunberg began gaining popularity for her activism earlier this year, I didn't pay it much mind and just assumed it was another person complaining about global climate change without proposing and/or engaging in tangible, real world solutions. So, when I saw that she won TIME magazine's person of the year, I figured she has made great strides in combating climate change, and therefore I should probably take notice and take a look into how she is doing it and what she has proposed. Thankfully, I didn't have to look far since many people were posting her greatest hits here on FB. I admit, she appears quite passionate and she makes compelling points that something needs to be done to reverse climate change, all while being critical of everyone that says something needs to be done, but without proposing real world, tangible solutions that can broadly be applied to society. So, I keep watching and waiting for these solutions. As the videos draw to an end, I am yet to see anything of substance. Am I missing the part two of these? What is unique about her brand of activism? Is it just the accent? I am seriously interested in what reaction and results her activism has yielded. Can someone please explain it to me? I do have some issues with her "undeniable facts" and climate change activists, I will do my best to follow-up in the comments and/or other posts. That is what she bases her science on (as well as 99% of climate scientists) and that is where she asks people to go to look for the data and some of the solutions. (We won't have all the solutions as much of the research and emerging tech isn't well funded yet.) I don't think it is her responsibility to solve this. She is asking politicians to take this seriously. And she is inspiring a new generation to not be apathetic on this topic. That is what her activism is based on. And I think that is plenty. If you really want to look at the "real world" solutions, you can read the same report she did. There are 3 parts. The "summaries for policymakers" are the easiest to understand and a good place to start. Over 75% of people lie on social media ‼️
The truth is that people tend to lie on social networks. How? First, people directly lie about their lives, which is often an effort to make themselves look more desirable or positive. In a study examining 80 online daters, Hancock, Toma, and Ellison found that two thirds of participants lied about their weight by five pounds or more. In a large sample of over 2000 people in England conducted by Custard.com, 43 percent of men admitted to making up facts about themselves and their lives that were not true online.
Even more commonly, people “lie” by presenting an image of themselves and their lives that is imprecise or less than comprehensive, leading the viewer to believe falsehoods. For example, in the Custard.com study, only 18 percent of men and 19 percent of women reported that their Facebook page displayed “a completely accurate reflection” of who they are. Most commonly, participants said that they only shared “non-boring” aspects of their lives (32 percent) and were not as “active” as their social media accounts appeared (14 percent). 
Indeed, a growing body of research suggests that social media use can negatively affect your psychological health, particularly if you compare yourself to the positive images you see online. In a study of 339 college women (Puglia, 2017), the tendency to compare oneself to others was associated with poorer body esteem. Furthermore, in a sub-sample of 58 women in the Puglia study, those with higher levels of Facebook usage displayed lower body satisfaction than those with lower Facebook usage. Similarly, in an experimental study by Vogel and colleagues, participants who tended to compare themselves to others more regularly had lower self-esteem, more negative emotions, and a poorer view of themselves after using Facebook than participants who did not tend to compare themselves to others. 
Consequently, when engaging with social media, it is critical to remind yourself that what you see is not an accurate picture of reality. Don’t compare yourself to the images of friends, colleagues, or celebrities. Remind yourself that it is just a snapshot of their life—and one that they want you to see.

I really love this message. It’s proven that social media increases depression and loneliness. Just live your life and stop worrying about others to compare yourself, you will never be happy this way.
